The Pomodoro Technique: Ultimate Guide
Named after a tomato-shaped kitchen timer, the Pomodoro Technique is one of the simplest and most effective time management methods ever created.

How does it work?
The core of the technique is to divide work into time intervals, traditionally 25 minutes long, separated by brief 5-minute breaks. Each of these 25-minute intervals is called a "Pomodoro".
- Decide on the task to be done.
- Start an Online Timer set to 25 minutes.
- Work intensely and uninterruptedly until the alarm rings.
- Take a short 5-minute break (stand up, stretch, drink water).
- Every four "Pomodoros", take a longer break (15 to 30 minutes).
Why does it work?
The technique works by fighting two great enemies of the human brain: procrastination and decision fatigue. Facing "I have to write a thesis" is paralyzing. Facing "I will write what I can for 25 minutes" is easy. Furthermore, forced breaks allow the brain to assimilate information, preventing the mental burnout that usually happens after 90 minutes of continuous work.
