How to Use a Digital Stopwatch
A stopwatch is much more than a start and pause button. Learning to master lap and split times will allow you to analyze your performance down to the millisecond.

The difference between Lap and Split
When you open the CronoNova Stopwatch, you'll notice you can save times in a list. There are two key concepts:
- Lap Time: This is the time it took to complete the last isolated segment. If you run 3 kilometers and mark each kilometer, the lap time will tell you how long you took only on that specific kilometer.
- Split Time: This is the total elapsed time from the absolute start. In the previous example, the Split of kilometer 3 will be the total time of your entire run up to that point.
Practical Step-by-Step
- Press Start (or the Spacebar) exactly when the event begins.
- When the first segment ends, press Lap (or the L key).
- The stopwatch will record the time in the bottom table and automatically restart the count for the Next Lap, while the Split keeps growing.
- Watch the colors: CronoNova will highlight your most efficient segment in green and the slowest in red.
